They are accepting bookings for the hotel from 1 Oct this year. There are only 142 working days between 11 March and 1 October 2026, accounting for weekends and public holidays.
@jrb That deadline looks 'very challenging'. Is it me ? or it's going to be an amazing transformation in that time frame?... fyi I have 0 zero construction knowledge...

Others who work in the construction industry will confirm builds behind schedule can in some cases be clawed back. But it’s either very difficult or impossible in many cases.

Questions.

Does anyone know how the people working for Sisk come up with the figure for the build? What do the factor in, if not everything?

In essence only ( drastically ) increasing workforce, supervisors,directly employed trades and subcontractors , and carefully planning so they don’t clash can possibly get a contract back on programme , but a big consideration is how far behind are they , and how much it will cost compared to the monies for late completion as per the contract

I'm sure that I've read that there will be 58 rows in total. Putting dots on seats and working down I count 53 rows. Copy and pasting in 5 more rows to the right seems to line up. So yep - a couple of rows still to go in where the hoardings are.

5 rows of padded seats would probably cover it in terms of the numbers quoted. 2-3, not really. Hard to see how many are left behind the hoarding, well because we can't see them, but it didn’t look like ad many as 5 to me from the latest video. Could be wrong.

They almost always get clawed back in some capacity, whether all or partial. Because they will ultimately build in leeway for delays and peaks in the programme. If they have any sense. Some delays can be too disproportionate to regain, but then as previously discussed on that, not all delays are penalised, where their reasons are justifiable.

If they have commited to booking rooms from a certain date though, they will know fine well by now how achievable and predictable that is, and by hook or by crook will almost certainly make that. Bear in mind for tooms to be booked out, the hotel likely needs to be complete a few weeks before that, for staff training, general familiarity, tests etc. So they will have some bounce in that as well where if they run over they can phase handing over parts for that part of it.

Looking at that compared to what we left in 2003 is a world away.

Let’s hope they significantly change their pricing and tickets policies and we make it a fortress next year.

It isn't SSSkies latest video as the covers were back on for that one. The one before his latest had the covers removed (but not the latest seat additions) so I was able to count how many rows there were back then.
