Think you’ve just got an extreme view point there tbh. That Bournemouth stand probably has less rows than SSL1.

I was kind of joking, but I always preferred to be in one of the side stands when I attended regularly at Maine Road. I moved to Bournemouth before the 2002 Commonwealth games and only been to the Etihad once since then, due to the cost of getting to Manchester plus hotel costs etc, and that was before the south stand extension. To be honest, sitting or standing at the back of the north or south stand would feel like watching a 22” tv screen from the other end of a large room. At the age of 70 maybe my eyesight isn’t as good as it was.

In fact the North Stand stays where it is, but Erling will push the rest of the stadium up against the expansion during the summer. The space behind the South Stand will become a garden with 115 gnomes representing Premier League executives and sponsors. They will be made of cork and darts will be available for each home game.

A live webcam would capture so much more, the problem with a drone is i capture what is going on at that particular time, at some point normally i will get something major but its down to luck. Would be nice to get a little insider info when things are happening.

Watched it without sound, had my thoughts, then later with sound too.

I think those wrapped items scattered through the hotel floors are bathroom pods. Fully finished pods, not pallets of material that needs assembled btw. They are the right size, and way they are grouped in twos and spread either side of side of columns on the two levels, says to me they are ready to move into place and unwrap, and just plug in effectively. Mirrors, sanitaryware etc will all be already done within them.

We will probably see a fair few more get craned onto the next levels up. Quite a few hotels do it this way, and certain brands have their own pod manufacturers and standard types.
