North Stand Construction Discussion

Never "world class" apart from the PR it was full of compromises to get has many in as possible the seats were minimum space allowance the exec boxes stuck behind glass were miles behind in facilities, etc
Quantity over quality....its in their DNA....its the yewnytid way !!

What sort of timeframe are the club looking at re the new roof going on? In my opinion, you'll get more of an idea then how the finished stand will look regarding how it'll blend in with the rest of the stadium. Hopefully the corners will look better than at the other end of the ground.

Apparently Finals from 2026 onward will only be able to be staged in the Category 4 stadiums with a capacity of over: 70,000 for the UEFA Champions League. 60,000 for the UEFA Euro. 40,000 for the UEFA Europa League.
2026 is in Budapest which holds 65k, probably less for a final set up FYI.

They are just accepting a straight step in height, clad on the sides here, unlike the south stand where they tried to sort of but not really (i know it is 'meant' to be temporary) match the wave.

Closest angle to what you have asked.View attachment 141627

See above re roof earlier.

Second image shows the new roof being built above the existing (in red) which will be the next phase. I had it jotted down somewhere what the expected timeframe was for key sections, from memory roof was sometime in March I think. But I could be misremembering.
