North Stand Construction Discussion

Definitely looks like there’s some kind of sky bar above L2.

Again, great that the club have put the bread and dripping fans first when designing the stand.

They really have understood this is the last chance to create a proper home end.

Let’s hope that extends to allowing the fans to hand flags and banners at the front of the 2nd tier, rather than replacing the current led screen with newer ones when the stand is completed?

They definitely seem to have listened to what the fans want mate, hope it transcends to the pricing as well along with traditional flags and banners and the place could be rocking!

The devil will be in the detail but it really looks like they're listening this time. Make a fortune from a sky bar, hotel, museum/stadium tours and all the leisure space in exchange for a home end packed with singing fans that help generate atmosphere and make it intimidating for the opposition.

Danny Wilson commented on this thread a while back. The club have been reading it all along and getting great feedback.

All banter aside, it says a lot about the two models of ownership that City's global owners are investing another £300m in infrastructure to update a 20 year stadium to world leading to complement an existing investment in a world leading indoor arena. Where United's are trying to cash in on theirs but can't attract a buyer because they've riddled the club with debt and haven't spent a pound on infrastructure in 20 years.

We almost always get a single unit tram back to Altrincham after a game from Piccadilly. But go and look at the Altrincham line on weekdays, double units running throughout the day mainly empty other than at peak times. The Metrolink management must be Rag twats.

The Eccles to Ashton trams on a match day are all doubles and are mainly singles on other days, so it sounds like they switch those over from the Altrincham line.

Obviously people are only bothered about their own line but it probably makes more sense that way from a neutral point of view, if it’s got to be one or the other.
