You can see the shape of the first wing through the placing of the foundations leading up to the tram stop.

Looks like the hotel will be worked on before the other wing. The area for the wing where the shop/museum/offices will be is currently a walk way for the public. It seems like they’re extending the foot path next to the squash centre so that there will be extra room for an extended path when they start development on that wing.

Just remembered. The Victoria Train Station roof.
An interesting read, which could easily translate to the fanzone roof.
With the main ribs installed, the smaller subsections could be fitted that would support almost 400 ETFE (Ethylene Tetraflouroethylene) panels, similar to those used in the Eden Project and Manchester Piccadilly station. As with the steel sections, each one of the polymer roof panels has a unique shape and relies on the precision of the steelwork to ensure a perfect fit.

The hotel, from what I can see, will be built as a concrete buid rather than steel. You can already see the cores being ready, and looks like it will all be in situ columns and slabs, that will then link to the steel tower. I would imagine the other block will be done the same way too, once there is more to see.

Manchester City could just pop down the round and see what The Print Works have done and copy that in the new fan zone on the roof this would stop them have to put massive LED screens on the side of the hotel etc.
City Fan Zone is going to be used by people using COOP live as well, they could use it like a Box Park in the area for small gigs and pre-drinks. Imaging going to see a band and their video playing above your head in the new City Fan Zone

the video of the printworks looks very Impressive. Does anyone have any idea on the floor size of the printworks and how that compares to the available area on the Collar site? If the collar site is done in similar way then it will be fantastic.
The club probably know that our core audience is FOCs, with mobility issues, on zimmer frames and crutches, so they don't want to risk any cranked necks ;)

I've mentioned this before, but they are fucking loud. In the rain, even sometimes just wind. Which won't matter for the loud fans underneath. But a whole wing of hotel bedrooms is directly above. That, and the slight potential of the facade sails whistling, hope their floor to ceiling glazing has a pretty high acoustic rating.
