North Stand Construction Discussion

Man I'm just here for the nuts and bolts, one of the few threads with relatively little Bluegloom. Bit a bit of a downer here today, hopefully some excitement back in the fold at some point soon.

You can see every nut and bolt in detail. Still can't see the mockup though, if there is one yet?

If you can watch the video on 2160p 4K on your device, it looks amazing.! :-) White cog.

If it cheers you up I'm hoping to get on site next week, so I'll look for your sample wall or ask when it's likely to be in place (-:

Likewise mate.

We've had the best of it, no doubt. If feel sorry for the next generation who will never experience what it truly means to be a Blue.

It's sickening.
This isn’t true, my son is 21, he enjoys football and City just as much as I did when I was 21 just in a very different way. Life, football and how different generation get their enjoyment changes and moves on.One isn’t better than the other things change people change.

Fair enough, but at 21, he'll have also seen footy without the the influx of the things I mentioned. God only knows what the "match day experience" will be when he's my age in 40 years time.

We had the best of it, no doubt.

Anyway, derailing the thread, up the fucking Blues.

He could be like you and think everything was better in his day, or like me and accept change happens,or things might be even better, who knows.

Exactly.

The experience will no doubt be different and it might not appeal to us older Blues but the youth of today will probably be very happy with it and wonder why we ever did it our way (like with many other things).

Do you honestly think City fans would have returned to watch what is basically a Champions (Super) League every week and every season? Not me.

Your right, with or without fans, a half full Etihad stadium, City would have still earned £100's of millions from TV. (pay per view revenue)

Remember, football is nothing without the fans? That's what we were told during the COVID season by the clubs, who welcomed us back and our money with open arms.
I agree totally. Football is nothing without fans but had the super league gone ahead without us, we would have been playing poor teams & although our current fans who remember the old days would continue to support City, the number of new fans would die out

No proof, surely the proof is that there’s rows of people attending away games who have never been to a city game before?

This isn’t away games, but the club have ticket partners who then sell on tickets/ experiences for every home game. The Madrid game had lots of tickets on here at extortionate prices - https://www.sportsworld.co.uk/footb...manchester-city-official-travel/match-breaks/
The proof I’m referring to is for the allegations that the club are selling tickets in bulk to these organisations

You are right - football is nothing without fans and that was highlighted during the pandemic but it didn’t take long for us to be taken for granted again - with stupid kick off times at the opposite end of the country etc.
