Is the colour the same as the ones that were on the testing rig ?
I would assume so, as the cladding and brick mock-ups are normally the same.

That perimeter pathway isn't changing. The hotel and office are beyond the outer edge of it. The rooms that link the hotel are above the circle path.
If there is any reduction in the space there, it is the stand itself. But in fairness, there isn't really any way to extend the north stand without taking up the additional space.

See above, nothing will change to the current path around the stadium.Wondered if anyone can answer a hotel related question. Had an argument with my son about the concourse / walkway around the hotel. He is pissed that he has to walk around the current site to get to our East Stand turnstiles and thinks that will still be the case after completion. I told him that, at the very least, the contractors temporary building at the edge, will come down and also any barrier that shields the hotel will be closer.
He thinks there will be parking there for the hotel but I can't find any mock ups or plans.
Because they are fucking mahoosive, and connected to each other, and the cable ring, and clad, and propped and heavy. The actual drop on the pivot takes about 6 minutes. And about 18 minutes to pivot onto the ground. But the prep work takes days. And the dismantling and removal too.Sorry if im being ignorant but why is it so slow taking down the other old supports? I imagine the new roof is now held up correctly and with time being a factor for the new pitch to be sorted, it doesnt seem to be the pace that was being suggested was required to sort this part out?
They wheeled the stand to far in so had to wheel it all the way back to align it properly.
Metal plating over concrete.View attachment 161324Have only noticed that the sections that were under the old roof are not concrete ! Looks like metal plating ? Presumably all that will come up and be replaced with concrete or pre made terraced sections ?

Bonkers to think that was the start of our ground, and what a shit hike the area was in general.
Runcorn Bridge is the old iron arch type bridge. The suspension bridge is the newest crossing opened several years backnever ever heard it call that, its the Runcorn Bridge surely?
I know very little about construction but where I live in South Eastern Spain one of the few companies not connected to organic foodstuffs makes bathrooms for hotels. When I spoke to the Sisk chappy at the Open House day he said it wasn't too different from a normal resi block in terms of clash detection or anything like that.
In some ways I'd imagine this one could have been easier to construct in some ways than one at a City centre location, as it feels like site access would be easier. I agree with others that the 401 rooms and fitting them all out is probably the major obstacle, and Radisson will bring their own spec.
Nice ;)
Who’s going to be the first to complain that they’re red? It’s coming.Nice ;)
Is that the hotel ?
Did you take that at last night's Shez do?View attachment 161280
Looking epic this now!
Thanks, yeah I've seen the gaps on the videos the guys are kindly posting. Once you take into account all the bodies in the new fan zone drinking and eating and fans queing to get into the new North Stand, I imagine it will be pretty crowded in there with half and hour to kick off. I'm sure they must have a plan for it and have considered the footfall. (gulp)

Might just be a ”hoptical” illusion ;-)Just an observation.
I’m not complaining because I love the new expanded North stand, the larger 2nd tier, and the curved shape of the new roof.
Does anybody else think the roof looks quite puny from above compared to the rest of the roof around the Etihad?
Whereas from below the roof and stand look much bigger.

Seems that where you have duplicated rooms eg hotels much of the build is done off site and services like water and electricity are plug in and they have teams of men fitting out hotels throughout Europe and beyond.
Big difference from years ago where each room was treated in turn by the same gangs of electrical and plumbing engineers.
red bricks, black mortar.. Must be in homage to our old away kit ;)Fucking red bricks.. wtf
At last!! Something to piss against.
