Many of those tickets get sold for a minimum of £150 to day trippers.

Recent stats on season cards had Liverpool having 100% renewals for many years. Relatives of deceased season card holders sell the tickets for a big profit like the rags used to do.

Liverpool’s headline approach reads well but they have a massive ticket touring operation.

As I understand it, exactly the same behaviour as a significant contingent of Barcelona and Real Madrid fans. It's one of the reasons they have such a high percentage of foreigners at most home games with seats often sold on to tourists at a huge profit.

One of the strangest things I’ve ever heard, Prince William got it too, they aren’t English though so it’s perfectly understandable, some anti establishment muppet probably came up with the idea on Twitter and the sheep followed thinking we’ll just blame Chelsea skinheads anyway, it’s almost like they’d not been to an Fa cup final for ten years & forgot all the pomp & circumstance, tradition & can’t understand why they’re not in an all murkyside final

Much as I'm not a fan of the monarchy I love the tradition and sense of theatre at events like the cup final. As you suggest, many scouses consider themselves somehow different to the rest of us and separate from the UK. Well, that's fine I say. Let's tow Merseyside into the North Sea and let it sink.

Playing the semis in London is a tradition, not many fans agreed with returning to those days.

Yes and no. Yes you do see more and more City shirts on kids all over the place but the club are doing nothing to encourage them into the ground the majority of the time. In fact with some of the pricing they appear to be actively discouraging parents from bringing them along. If kids aren’t attending matches as kids, then the likelihood is they won’t attend as adults.

Standards and Traditions are years in the making and can be lost in an instant by lazy Ill-disciplined individuals. For anyone's time on this earth it is their duty to be the custodian of any standard the they inherit and hand it over to those who follow. Being the current custodian of any standard is not the authority to change it.

Abide with Me is part and parcel of the FA Cup Final and long may it continue. If anyone would rather listen to some half-wit pop star sing a more popular tune then may I suggest the Superbowl.
