Everton’s new stadium is in the Vauxhall district of Liverpool.Would it be correct to say Everton now play in Liverpool whilst Liverpool still play in Everton?
I never realised there was a sloped pitch at Maine Road. :-)

The arena is on a leasehold 80%/20% split in our favour with MCC and that should be worth a few million. So effectively we are both landlord and part tenant but I've no idea about the arena revenues which are mainly for the JV with Oak View less the smaller additional shareholders. My understanding is the club. But happy to defer to those that know more.
Edit, the club are down as the client in all the correspondence, as the investor in the application, and the section 106 agreement is with the club. It would be a bit counterintuitive that it is then a cfg asset, but I have no idea how their internal model works.
Sorry , todays flyover is a bit late

PJS says hi.Probably one of the worst stands ever built in football.
After seeing the fantastic Platt Lane torn down to make way for it, I was bitterly disappointed by it.
Cheap and nasty looking.

As my Maine Road baptism, it was absolutely fantastic to me.i have never heard anyone describe the old Platt Lane as being fantastic. serious question, were you a regular at Maine Road?
The atmosphere was fantastic and in the dark days of the 80s very fiesty.i have never heard anyone describe the old Platt Lane as being fantastic. serious question, were you a regular at Maine Road?
Swales was going to take the design around onto the Kippax he told me that to my face I replied in a similar vein to the above but in much less polite tones, he was shocked as he thought it was great. Mind you at an AGM when a question from the floor asked about the pillars in the main stand, he replied "what pillars"Probably one of the worst stands ever built in football.

I always thought the “original” plans for the redevelopment from the early-80s looked quite good though, especially the idea for the executive boxes to be suspended from the new Main stand roof. Although I do question now whether that was ever technically possible, and it was just my young self being conned by another Swales lie (first of many sadly).Swales was going to take the design around onto the Kippax he told me that to my face I replied in a similar vein to the above but in much less polite tones, he was shocked as he thought it was great.
