The more this build progresses the more confused I am by the sample panel , the panel shows facework to both sides ?? I understand the bwk. Is only to the hotel ground floor but you can now see blockwork appearing ??Great vid CP. The whole skybar 'cage' now seems complete, including that missing horizontal that was intriguing me. I might have to put it down to simply being missed out while it was on the ground and rather than delaying the big lift, added later on. Also now pretty clear to see how it curves in both directions.
Other small things worth noticing, the first waterproofing layer has started on the east end of the hotel roof. The west tower has had the platform scaffolding around the cable anchor removed and this clamp arrangement is now much more obvious. The east tower is still there but looks like they have started dismantling it. The splice connection plates on the sky bar truss have not yet been coated, I would assume due to the recent temperatures, as below 5deg, the intumescent won't stick to the steel. There seem to be two additional site cabins added within the stand itself either end of the level the previous boxes were. With more going on in there in terms of connections. The eastern side of the terracing seems to be going faster than the west. The office block moving at pace, again there is a temperature below which concrete won't pour, so that might go slower than the hotel did over the winter months.

With having a full time job, I can only get down early evening and it's dark or a weekend when we have daylight and hopefully not raining. Will be better when we have longer days.Like busses, two come at once. You guys should coordinate and stagger your visits lol.
Thanks coatigan , so a sample panel that doesn’t actually show what’s going to be built, and needs interpretation ? Does that not mean the sample is not representative ? Still confusedAs I see it, the layer at the back, with the corbelling I think is a sample of the the gable ends. The one at the front will be facing the square. Although as pointed out before, the approval is for the piers to he angled to match the fins rather than straight, but still shows the material and colour. The blockwork that will appear in site will be the inner layer which wont be visible.
From up on Saddleworth Moor by the looks.
