I enjoyed seeing the sweeping and curved top of the steel, and the obvious floating 3rd tier below it.



The breeze block walls weren’t as exciting to see, but they are another milestone in the construction of the hotel.

I guess things will slow down over the festive season, but three cheers for the construction guys who made so much progress so far, and for CP, JRB and SS skies for the updates, among others. Hope they get a good break and look forward to raising the new roof sometime in early 2025.

Is it me, or is one wing of the hotel going to be 1 level lower than the other?? It looks as though the E/W is stopping at floor 7, whereas the N/S is up to floor 8…

Well I think the construction updates have been excellent. Thanks for all the videos, diagrams and pictures etc posted here in 2024.

I never thought I'd be more excited over a construction site than the football. Old age does strange things.

As the Commercial Building (Office Block) continues to progress into the New Year a few points of interest for Colin to pick up on Drone footage happens at Level 03. The slab steps out here so the floors above will be supported on Concrete Corbels and Cantlever Beams. These are heavily reinforced and needed intricate detailing to fit. The steel fixers are doing an excellent job and this area will certainly be a test for these guys!

About 8 row's up from the boy's putting the steps in there seems to be a gap at either end of a section of terracing . Anyone know why ?

This is my go to thread on Bluemoon as it is the only positive topic on the forum. Thank you to SS Skies and CP Overview for the regular content over 2024 in what has been another rollercoaster year for Manchester City. These videos are a promise of something better in 2025. 2024 wasn't too bad to be fair but the more recent memories have over-printed more successful times.
