One of the potential (safety/segregation) benefits of shifting away fans down to ESL110/111/SSL1 & making SSL3/2 all City would be to designate the ASDA tram stop as the pre match alighting point for away fans.I'd completely forgotten about that. Went in there after a stadium tour back in 2006/07 iirc. It was decent in there. Will be good to have more going on in the area, although it will still need to develop further to become the "destination" envisaged and help control the flow of people getting to/from the match.
By so doing it keeps away fans from the Fan Zone and the E & W stand receptions.
If City open the gates at the top of the coach park ( junction of ATW/ANR, proximate to the Nexon Bridge), away fans have only 150 metres to walk to be in their secure zone.
Additionally, City could erect a PermaTent beer hall and a few food trucks and fleece the bastards pre match.
Security, Segregation, Safety, improved AND increased revenue !!
Are you there Danny ??
