North Stand Construction Discussion

There will be no more drone uploads from me until further notice im afraid.
My Google account was hacked yesterday which means as it stands at the moment i have no access to my youtube channel as im totally locked out
I will still be filming but have no way to upload them until i get my channel back and even that isn't guaranteed.
If there are any cyber experts on here that can help i would be grateful as contacting google/youtube is all ai so nearly impossible to get the right help

Worth creating a new account Im sure that you will get the follower numbers up pretty quickly and make sure you have two factor authentication set up

Why would hackers hack your/a Youtube website.
What's in it for them?
Why haven't YouTube got in built security protection for it's users?

Its Colin's Google account which is more than just YouTube, drive and passwords can be stored, being in the public domain makes one more vulnerable to hacking hopefully they didn't find anything Google do have measures in place

That’s a sickener. Your account seems okay from a subscribers perspective.

That's a bummer mate - I have the MFA option set on my Google Account so I get separate notifications go to my phone - I also have a second backup email account which is linked to it - all a bit 'shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted' I'm afraid - off the top of my head I can't think of anything else that can help right now but if anything comes to mind, I'll let you know, best of luck!

basically a second way to authenticate - often using your phone as an additional physical device that only you have access to - used for things like asking for a code to confirm an actions (such as changing you password, which has probably happened to colin) or changing a secondary email address - all the major players are mandating it now, especially around finance (banking apps etc) - I see that colin put up a Bramley Moor Dock video a few hours ago so maybe he has got it under control (fingers crossed)

MFA didn’t help this time, I got about 20 different emails in about 5 seconds saying things like I have changed phone numbers and passwords etc , and then it was gone.
As mentioned above it’s my Google account they are interested in rather than my channel but they are all linked .
It’s a long process to get it back but it is underway.
I had scheduled the Bramley Moore video last night before it was hacked.
I will put a link on to todays video later , it will either be on one of my other accounts or on ssskies channel . Thanks to Ssskies for the offer of hosting my videos until I get my channel back.
