North Stand Construction Discussion

Wow, good timing being there but even though I knew it was now in place I felt tense until the end. Them lot'll be queuing up for the loo when they come down.

It looked like there's only room for an eighth of a turn tightening up the bolts as well, they'll be there for a week to do the rest if they can't get air driven tools in. At least there's only one other cap to do.
They can stay up there until all bolts are fitted. Send them up a couple of buckets.

Yeah same, that was as tense as watching 24 or something of that type.

Laughed at the guy trying to shove it back, once it touches those two flat plates, if it's out of alignment, are you fuck budging that off the platform with a good push, lol.

So it was the angle converging that eas the issue, once they mated the plates to a + - arrangement it fit like a glove. Wonder if that was always the intention and just hadn't been communicated properly, but at least they'll know for the next one and save themselves a lift or two.

Yes that was the problem, that first lift was bloody pointless it was never going to mate up.

Have you found it to rarely appear again once washed off? I've seen it reappear often, but how well it was 'brushed' off, who knows.
In my experience if it’s wire brushed after it’s fully bloomed it will not return , depends mainly on the quarried materials and obviously where they came from . Going back 40 years there was a Lancaster brick manufacturer called “ claughton manor brick” and the first house I ever bought ( whelmar) was made from claghton “ochre rustics” which were an absolute nightmare for 12 months till wire brushed off never to reappear ! ( thankfully ) after a couple of years I used the same brick to build a garden wall at the front and after a month of damp weather it looked like wall was covered in snow ! Accrington nori blue engineers would be my choice!!
