Currently they are using that space between the two and it is split between the two zones, east for west for west halves of the stand.

Ahh, for some reason I had it in my head that the end of the beams would be done from pitchside.

They could be, I don't know. Just feels like they'd be condensing too much into the off-season if that were the case.

But then again, we are nearly there now anyway so might end up being that by default.

At the Sisk even they said that they wouldn't be able to do the connection until the new roof supports are tensioned

They’ve just been using the space to store roof parts inc the cables. Not only that but the building has only just reached the top anyway. They’ll start connecting soon enough.

I was just looking at Everton’s new stadium and it struck me how nice the surrounding floor looked…all the same and looked something like white marble.

When the building work has finished on ours will we do something similar or are we keeping the patchwork quilt of tarmac concrete and felt in different shades of blue green grey and black?
 
We’ll get some good pictures of the roof being taken apart from inside the stadium during the Summer on Linkedin. Loads of people will be doing the stadium tour, and there will be numerous conferences and events taking place at the Etihad. I’ll keep my eye out for any pictures.

That’s what the experts said If you read the article in construction news posted by JRB they explain about the difficulty in transferring the cable net loads to the new structure
Its probably something to do with that maybe letting the loads from the new roof settle remember the building are concrete construction whereas the stand is steel fabrication
