North Stand Construction Discussion

I think the seating will be ready for August and the new season 25/26. They’ll just work to get things finished fully after then. The South Stand wasn’t ‘done’ until late 2014 despite opening August 2014 for example.
You are spot on, this has been the plan since Sisk came on to do the full scheme. Lends itself to the scenario we are now seeing at Co-Op live though.

Now I see the light!

Chunky, but we see why. I previously noted that I thought the backstay cables to the rear were in the way of the back of the tower coming to ground, and assumed that's why they started at the top. But that still left the question of how they carry on because they couldn't get the top piers on till that happens, and that can't happen till the cables are disconnected, and the cables cant be disconnected till the load is transfered, to ultimately the top new piers. Vicious circle.

But now I see they are cantilevering it diagonally, so they can disconnect the cables, then build down, then build up. then build out. Then disconnect the front cables. Then remove the old pier.
Mind-fry.

Still looks mental that all that tension is fed back to those 'wonky' towers, without tying them back to the ground at the rear, but that's presumably why they are so chunky.

It is so so so tight though, the whole thing. You see how much the existing top sways in the wind just in the drone videos, never mind maneuvering round all that new steel. And then how they shimmy that old pier out amongst all that, will be something to behold. Or whether there is any way to segment it. Most folk will probably not find this stage that intriguing and will look forward to the roof, cladding, seats etc as the phase to get excited about, but for me this is the most interesting and probably complex part of it.
I guess this is where the structural engineers earn their bucks? Don't understand half the stuff you've posted re the cablenet structure, but it sure is fascinating.

Here is maybe a solution to this problem, simply move the GA+ section next to the Skybar Section.

No need for a new Joe's section eatery further down, you give that area to your core supporters and install as I said before a double-sided goal-line bar, they have built a massive bar in Coop Live called the Street they could do the same here that services bottom of the North Stand and City Hall.

I am fed up with these fcuk nameless execs making decisions that are ruining the atmosphere all they are bothered about is money, not the atmosphere.

You cant contact the club to speak about these issues as there are no contact details

We see other clubs trying to do the right except our club

Alex does an amazing job, but is the club listening NO

Alex.

Can you ask the club why there were so many Real Madrid fans in the home ends all around the ground. Ask the club why and how so many Real Madrid fans got tickets in the home ends. The club must know as they distribute and sell the tickets. Ask the club what plans they have to stop this next season in the CL latter stages, and to sell those tickets to genuine City fans instead. With so many away fans in the home ends it has led to trouble and fights breaking out.

Keep up the good work. :-)
After the FT whistle vs RM, an older guy was losing his shit going down the steps at 307. I don't think the RM lad was being disrespectful, and certainly not his fault that he managed to get a ticket in the home stands, but the old guy needed to be calmed down. It was shocking just how many RM fans were in the home ends. I was at the ground early, and it was like United Nations around the East Stand.

We don't know if there is a problem.

Wonder what the view of the cable net will be like from the sky bar. I might have a look from the back row of SSL3 next home game.

Looks like SSL3 (blue) is a step or two lower than the top of the sky bar (black) area.

Someone's is going to end up twatting one of these away fans one day.
And it'll be the city fan who gets banned
