North Stand Construction Discussion

Have drones the same legal status as an aircraft? I'm assuming that, given your reply, they do. Which kind of surprises me.
Yes they do jimharri they are classed as an unmanned air vehicle operated by a pilot. Attempting to shoot one down is classed as attempting to bring down an aircraft and carries a custodial sentence and armend police would be out. The drones that me and CP Overview require a separate license to smaller drones and we have all the proper insurances to go with them.

CP and SSS are either of you going down on Friday morning? I'm planning to do the tour on Friday, but I need to know in advance if the pitch has been totally cleared.
I would be there around 4pm Friday jrb, also going Wednesday about 5pm so might give an indication then. I would also like to do a tour there in a couple of weeks to see it from ground level.

Thanks, mate.

I won't be able to get to the Etihad until 2pm or 3pm. I need to know before then. If I can 't find out before I finish work I can go on Saturday, Sunday or Monday instead.

Somewhat doubt it will be totally cleared before early next week John?

I will be there various days and probably Friday morning.
Will drop you a text sometime Friday morning and tell you the state of the pitch

That’s why the likes of DJ audits are desperate for people to bother them while they are flying as it’s even an offence to distract someone while they are flying as it could endanger people. Silly thing is the amount of people who have been seriously injured by a falling drone worldwide currently stands at zero

Just back from the Etihad, video here, dismantling the pitch crane. Cheers

In respect of the frame for the new screen in the SEast corner , withe the limited access they have due to the size of the scaffold and bearing in mind the lifting weight regulations , how do they place/fix the metals in place ?? I assume the sections at aluminium , but they are large and surely quite heavy ???

It's going to be a ballache getting out from the top of the 2nd tier.

Anyone moving to NSL2 best find out what rows are close to the exits first

It's such a shame a proper safe standing and singing section won't be directly above exit 4 in the middle of the stand.
I wouldnt worry - apparently we have no fans so theyll only be about 25 of us rattling about up there, just sit wherever you want! :)

Looking back to the beginnings of this thread, there are some embarrassing comments. Why do these idiots keep dissing what the club is doing, it is called progress. Some obviously joined after we started winning trophies, and now won’t accept anything less. They need to grow up
