Legend @cpoverview. Amazing dedication.
Not conclusive, but the line certainly helps gauge the levels. To my eyes, I’m now firmly in the wonky camp.
I'll look out for you in the next bluemoon meeting.

There is an element of that, don't think you'd ever be able to fully get it straight on the drone, and the slightest angle then makes it look off from above imo.Another brilliant video. Thank you @cpoverview. Some observations to note:
4:11 - The lines on the video are clearly not parallel with the middle section of the roof (between beams 6 and 7) but given that the drone is not exactly centered I'm still not convinced that this is anything other than optical distortion rather than an actual construction 'error' that needs to be fixed

Most will be pissed so it will be level to their eyesThere is an element of that, don't think you'd ever be able to fully get it straight on the drone, and the slightest angle then makes it look off from above imo.
That said, I do think people have a point that it is slightly off. You see it more from the ground. The central bay isn't flat. It IS meant to be, before anyone asks. The railing, if installed parallel to the purlins amd fixing points, shouldn't dip like that.

Nowhere as bad as the aerial views with temporary stuff around make it look, but it at the least looks 'uneven'. You can see it in the footage of the stadium tour put up today too imo. Unless it is the railing that is installed on the piss.
But with the roof covering, the walkways, the viewing platforms and final finishes still to be installed - and all tension cables to be final-checked- really don't think it is something to be worried about at this point nor that it would stay like that.
And if it does, will be a hell of an in-quirk for fans to know about.

Bay 6 is 1 degree offI feel a new song coming on:
We have a wonky roof
we have a wonky roof
ae o me daddy o
we have a wonky roof
(but it don't leak).
Is there any way for the fan park at the front of the North stand to be extended? Since I saw the plans I always thought the capacity at 3/4k was too low.
Bay 6 is 1 degree off
6 - 1, ohhh we love a 6-1!
Any pics ? @jrbCanal side please :) #Coop
There you go, a look at the roof with straight lines added!
The museum could be very interesting if it sets MCFC in the context of Manchester past and present with the past going back to the formation of the coal seams under the stadium. No need for the exhibits to be constant. You could create an evolving journey and show aspects through the year so that there is something new to see.I’ve been told the Museum will be interactive and will include a recreation of Foden’s childhood bedroom from when he was growing up. There’ll also be videos of iconic moments like 93:20 and Gundogan’s goal vs Villa, complete with sound effects and more. Sounds like it’ll be great for younger fans.
I think they may well be, and I think it does look that way. But I don't think that absolutely proves it though. While the guidelines do say they are 'level' and centred, they clearly are not. The two side stairs would converge to the same vanishing point if they were, and they don't. That bit is clearer even by eye than any discrepancy in the two beams level. That absolutely proves the apex is 5 from the left and 6 from the right.
So we wonky theorists have been proved correct.
Not forgetting to mention the local ancient ruins that is Old Trafford with it's swamp area and waterfalls. The museum could be very interesting if it sets MCFC in the context of Manchester past and present with the past going back to the formation of the coal seams under the stadium. Took a few looks at that image before realising it was the sun coming through and not seats gone in starting to form CITY.There is an element of that, don't think you'd ever be able to fully get it straight on the drone, and the slightest angle then makes it look off from above imo.

Is it ETFE to go into the edge of the roof? I think where the ETFE starts the roof is level but there’s variance by the time you get to the end of the beams, or whatever their proper name is, and it’s further out of horizontal. Where does the final part of the beam connect, is it near where the ETFE starts?I think they may well be, and I think it does look that way. But I don't think that absolutely proves it though. The distances and scale here are so vast, that a 0.1 degree rotation can put something quite a bit off-centre.
But between what the eye can see in the drone and how it looks from the ground, I do think Team Wonky were mocked prematurely.
The ETFE roof is for city square , front of stand will be translucent roofing sheetsIs it ETFE to go into the edge of the roof? Nowt to worry about in my (totally amateur but decidedly critical when it comes to this sort of thing) opinion.
Think they are pulling your leg ! Phil Fodens bedroom as a child ?? Be better if it was Kyle walkers !
