The South Stand wasn't after the extension, they left gaps, then used pallets, then filled in the corners about a year later but they are already leaking.

I remember mentioning it on here about 10 years ago and getting shit for it. People where moving from their seats to the back of the stand to avoid the waterfalls.

We all know waterfalls only exist at the swamp, ours were more of a cascade.

It looks better this time, there are no big gaps at either side, but it is probably were it joins the existing roof in the corners where is will be most susceptible.

I think you might be confusing it for when they were actually building the south stand and the roof corners had covers over them.




The current corner roofs were in place by the time the new third tier opened vs Chelsea in August 2015, although the corner structures & shielding between stand & roof, weren’t completed in full until a few weeks later.

Does anyone know if City do that blow torch technique on the seats to bring the colour back? Seen loads of clubs doing it and it seems to work? The blue seats in the videos look tired and faded?

It apparently only works on solid hard plastic seats so the padded “executive “ ones can’t be done ! :-(

They swap out the padded seats. I've got one in my garden off someone who was doing them a few years ago.

Have to be honest, I haven't paid much heed to the "sails" up to now on any of the videos. My bad, as the hip young people would say. But I paid a bit more attention on the video posted today by @cpoverview

Forgive me but why do the club have to be so secretive ??? It’s not as if we don’t love the club , but they are acting like the we are in a communist bloc ! :-(

Doesn’t say in the Design Statement the purpose

“The hotel block façade is a composite of glass & aluminum, the fins speak of the nautical heritage of Manchester's waterways, the fins are distributed following the principle defined through an algorithmic design strategy”

Will break up the slab side of the building some have suggested it adds privacy to the rooms

In the Design Statement are examples of building around the world that have used the design language

That's the way our owner and the club work.

Yes, it's frustrating, but the club keeps everything under wraps.

The Collar site proposal being another example.
