North Stand Construction Discussion

I've been on a group tour of the stadium today. I asked the tour guide why the new pitch hadn't been stitched with synthetics yet and was it planned. She said this would be carried out next week.

Did you ask her what is going on with the corner in-between the South stand and the Colin Bell stand?

Was the tour busy!

Yep very busy, a number of large groups over lapping. I was speaking to the guide about not having a screen in south stand / Colin bell stand corner, she was equally disappointed as she has a season ticket in the east stand lower which would have made viewing easier for her. Somebody was saying this area was already a bar, which would make this some sort of upgrade (not sure if there is any truth in this).

It’s a bar the work is being carried out by City’s nominated contractor for bar development and the club posted this

The Spurs home game is the 23rd August so there are 4 weeks to make the roof watertight. At the current rate of progress that seems likely.

I hated the look of that Kippax stand. Saying that, it wasn't as bad looking at the new Platt Lane stand. That was absolutely shocking.
That Platt Lane stand was the final straw for many of us. I joined the political wing of the Swales Out movement the day after seeing the monstrosity for the first time.
