Because Laing O'rourke didnt win the contract.Just out of interest, why do you think it will date badly?
The Design & Access Statement says that pretty much all of the 2nd tier could be safe standing in the future. Edit: emphasis on 'could be'Reference the sightlines, would the original plans have contingency of safe standing being
installed anywhere in the extension, either upon opening or in the future and so be included in original design process

I only went to the swamp once, to see Genesis. My wife said “the seats at Yeovil Town have more legroom” and she is just 5’ tall.I love the inside of the stadium, superb views and plenty of leg room.
You have to be a midget to watch football at the Swamp in any sort of comfort.

That proves that people in those back corners can see the opposite corner no problem. But not necessarily their own side. I don't think it will be as much of an issue in reality though in person. The poster never did say anything beyond posting the photo. From Design Statement re viewing and sight lines

Yea, it was always a consideration. The stand is futureproofed for the entire thing to he safe standing, should there be that decision in the future.Reference the sightlines, would the original plans have contingency of safe standing being
installed anywhere in the extension, either upon opening or in the future and so be included in original design process
September 2024. Like most of the club's communication about this project, easy to miss.I missed the safe standing news. What’s this business about an n shaped pattern of safe standing? When was it announced?
I don't think there's going to be a Goodison style view anywhere in that stand. When we’re talking about potential sight line issues we’re talking a tiny number of seats who can’t see a tiny portion of the pitch. That picture wasn’t even taken from the corner. If it was then a sizeable chunk is cut off
Thanks for that. Just one thing; WTF is a breakout area???September 2024. Like most of the club's communication about this project, easy to miss.
