North Stand Construction Discussion

The scaffolding going up in the managers area looks to me how they started to erect it in the opposite corner prior to building the screen. So suspect we are getting our fourth.
On a side note whilst watching the vid of the northwest of the new stand I noticed a flock of parakeets flying past so had to scroll back and yes they are. We have these in southern spain but are not native but an invasive bird which the Spanish government cull now and then because they affect the local birds.

Apologies, it's off topic but inside the stadium bowl I wish we could get rid of that scabby old green surface around the pitch perimeter. It would look so much smarter if it was like the King Power, like so....

"harshly dismissive"? I've only seen people disagreeing and explaining why. I'd also argue that it can't be a "valid opinion" until it's finished, IMO.

There was some flippancy to the previous posts. And of course you can debate design before the build is finished.

A giant hotel, more corporate seats and packages don’t exactly point to that

Yes Danny Wilson has made a commitment for half the increase in stadium capacity / tickets being available as season cards / flexis.

if anything, I think the sky walk tickets might part subsidise safe standing tickets. The general admission (Joe'/93:20 type) tickets aren't that helpful but they will be vastly outnumbered by safe standing. These safe standing tickets will need to be reasonably priced because otherwise supply will significantly outstrip demand. Supply and demand was factor in the ticket price reductions as well as the very well run protests and City Matters negotiations.

We have been guaranteed 3k more affordable season cards / flexis around the ground when expanded North Stand opens fully. If it’s ready late in the season, that commitment might be for next season.

There is untapped demand from young families whose kids love Haaland. Obviously, tickets need to be reasonable and credit to the protest movement and City Matters.

Our serial winning side has been replaced, in part, by something arguably more important. Home grown players. We’ve got much more strength in depth compared to last season and the future is Blue.

Went down earlier today , looks great the new stand . Would of a got a coffee from the co op cafe but it shut at 12 , thought It was open to 2pm :-(
Didnt have a phone with me but looked good lots of progress with the sails etc .

Thanks Gordyola, I love the build and seeing it all coming together, but will not miss the mancunian way car park once it's all done. I think that glass was going inside the stand, but will check either tomorrow or Monday.
