It’s been like it is now for some years it’s the south east corner that’s now like the south westI am not sure when it was extended but it is exactly the same as manager's corner now.

The grey cladding on the upper sides of the new stand looks far worse than the brickwork to me.
That can’t be the final finish, can it?

That looks dodgy as fook every before you get out on the roof FFS!

A while ago CP overview showed that the deck behind the new screen had been extended just like the one in manager's corner so it could be a new screen.
Would they need planning permission for whatever they are up to?

The salts are in the clay before firing take place so it’s not fault it’s just the nature of the product , so your points are not validWet bricks,
Storage, proper protection after the bricks have been laid.
Possible that some of the salts are down to the bricklayers
Like the rest of us you’ll just have to see , cos the club are very secretiveAnyone know if this is the final finish for this bit or there something overlaying it? Took a walk around on Sunday. I think it could be so much better if this is to be the final finish. There's no texture or detail. It looks like an after thought (No Shit Sherlock) but the materials used to blend the south stand to the original structure are much cleaner and seamless.
I don't mind the abruptness of the stand coming out, just the blending of old to new.
I should really be patient and wait for the finished product, but can anyone elaborate?

Bricks and mortar contain salts, such as sulfates or carbonates of calcium, sodium, or potassiumThe salts are in the clay before firing take place so it’s not fault it’s just the nature of the product , so your points are not valid

Thanks.Great photos @jrb, appreciated from a bunch.
No that was part of a planning amendment to remove it subsequent to the original design statement that I snapped the image fromThe club badge is on this design so is it staying now?
Its in the current proposal too - here's page 66 from the Design & Access Statement of the Planning App for the current buildThey already have planning permission for 4 screens, under the previous approval.

Don't get me wrong I'l be first in line for the experience, in case anyone is not sure how its going to work and where you'll get to walk, here are a couple of pages from the planning app Design and Access Statement specifically about the Roof Top Walk - see the pink path on the roof belowI’ll let you know when I’m walking on it. ;-)

Access will be from the museum as part (extra) of the stadium tour via the link from the commercial building to the standAccess starts at the ground level in the NW corner and there will be a lift straight up to the top at L04 where the exterior route starts (at 1 above) not quite sure how the bit down the side (at 2, photographed by JRB above) and its route back UNDER the roof of the stand works though, I guess that will become clear in time.
