North Stand Construction Discussion

Sorry, I don’t really follow the thread and have only looked at the last few pages. What is the purpose of this “roof walk”?

Like any roof walk, it is a completely different experience in person, than what 'you see' on amy camera footage from a similar height. The quotation marks are not sarcastic btw, just highlighting that it, as an experience is not all about the view, and not one to compare on a camera.

Last one I did was 2014 I think. Before the fancy new changing rooms as well, the tunnel malarkey etc. So by the time this finishes, will have been worth the wait, and the repeat.

Maybe if you like that sort of thing,personally not a fan of heights but will grit my teeth for a ‘special’ view. Just don’t think the view from the Etihad roof will be the incentive for me. For those that do though that’s great, enjoy. Think my son will , I’ll wait in one of the bars;)

For me it will be a great opportunity to see the Manchester/city centre skyline from the Etihad/East Manchester. :-)

You’ll also see the CFA as well.
 
I think the graph below explains the 'magenta' light illuminating the pitch.

The absorption spectrum for chlorophyll peaks in the blue and red end of the spectrum so if you illuminated grass with blue and red light it would be more efficient and the light would appear magenta.

I don't mind the abruptness of the stand coming out, just the blending of old to new.

I should really be patient and wait for the finished product, but can anyone elaborate?
