Almost always been there mate. Pointed them out before on drawings.

Mentioned it before, due to demand the club are building 3 new Sensory suites, they could probably add one next to the one they already have (puma shoebox) and two in the corner of the WS & NS

Forgive my ignorance what exactly is a sensory suite , in the context of a football stadium ??

I have a 13 year old with Down syndrome and finally got in the sensory room for the Palace 5-2 match last season. She loved being able to see the game through the glass but with reduced noise and then they also had activities in there and helpers who played with her while me and my 3 other boys watched the match . My young one met Alfie as she walked straight into the Haaland box as it’s right next to the current sensory room! lol

Good vid as always ssskies - Look like temporary supports to the roof for the Medlock/City square cover to me rather than cranes.
Thanks Mr HJ that would make sense, I wasn't sure if it was to do with the skywalk.

There are actually two issues with it for me.

The obvious one is location. The other is capacity.

The first is where, rather than the what. Zero issue with the club wanting a hospitality offering to 500 people, but dedicating exclusively the entirety of the principal level to just that, wipes out THE key space in the stand, the one that the Medlock Square fronts onto, and the whole of level 0 stand backs onto. Just such an odd prime place, to be that exclusive.

The second is capacity. The space is designed to hold 1800 people, but limited to 500 now. Again no issue with those that pay more having more space to themselves, but it is disproportionate. Not just to itself, but to the whole tier it serves. That tier is not far of 4000 seats. A concourse with bars that can hold 1800 can serve that fine, and is in line with the ratio of the upper tier concourses. But now it is set to only 500 (which probably serves 1000 ticket holders, going by the hospitality ratios elsewhere), where do the other 3000 people in that tier go. Upstairs to Level 2 for a beer, with those from above all there? The whole 'there is enough for everyone' thing gets said a lot and I'm a believer of that, but in this case, I'm not sure there is.

Neither of those are an issue with the original GA+ allocation above, just to be clear. That's a 300 capacity bar, within a larger concourse with its own capacity of 3300 to serve the rest of that level. So the whole level is fully accessible by its tier, and the hospitality is only 10% of it. And the concourse serves 56% of its seating tier. Unlike the city hall, which is 100% of its concourse, and serves at best 30% of its tier.

A really odd thing to do, turning the city hall into such an offering. Based on the wording of the club statements, that is, which lets face it lately has shown itself to be quite poor.

For me it’s the loss of space in City Hall for the GA and GA+ fans, which has been given over to the 2 hospitality sections.

That’s a large amount of space in both hospitality areas for a limited amount of fans, with no guarantee those booths, chairs, and tables will be full for every home match, especially for the lesser matches and the midweek games.

How much space and capacity does that leave for the GA and GA+ fans in the remainder of what’s left of City Hall?

That aside, we still don’t know what the remaining section of City Hall will look like and offer the GA and GA+ fans. We haven’t been told or shown anything yet, certainly not in detail, CGI animation, compared to City Hall hospitality, and the Cross Bar (both very nice), as far as I’m aware. I stand corrected on that.

If NSL2 is open for the Villa game, and City Hall is accessible for the match, what are we going to get? Are we going to find out on the day, rather than being shown in advance?

I’ll be honest. It really is irking me how City have concentrated and put all their efforts into pushing City Hall hospitality and the Cross Bar, whilst not showing us what the GA and GA+ fans will be getting in the remaining space inside City Hall.

Do we know for sure that the whole of City Hall will be used for the 500 seats, maybe it will be split with those in the 500 seats having a seperate area sectioned off. Seems odd that they would use an area designed for 1800 only for 500 people not all of which would be in at any one time.

Just to clarify at my end, I see the GA+ and 'hospitality' as pretry much the same thing and interchange the terms in my own posts, in both these areas. But not 'corporate' fwiw.

And the way I read the club statements (and I've not seen anyone challenge that) is that the City Hall in its entirety will be for the 500 GA+ ticket holders.

I previously argued 'no way they would do that', and speculated on how 500 in an 1800 capacity space might work, be that through subdivision, dedicated booths/kiosks etc.

But both the statement and then the CGIs now really do very much look like it is the whole space taken up, by the 500 GA+/hospitality offering. For what I assume is circa 1000 dedicated seats the first tier.

The CGI's are all based on the same set layout of booths and tables, all the views show the same thing. And even a rough tally of that and what's left, does come out to around 500. And they don't focus on the access to it and the stairs to L2 for nothing btw.

And having consistently argued thinking the upper GA+ area shouldn't be an issue and was proportionate etc, and advocated waiting to see what tue club put forward for this space, I really am not 'moaning' here for the sake of being negative, that's for damn sure.

Obviously, it can all change back though, if there is no real demand for that offering there at that price.

See above. Argued this previously, but fairly convinced now that's exactly what they are doing. The statements are pretty clear, and the CGIs even clearer imo.
