North Stand - fans being moved for "City Hall" GA+ section

Why would hospitality be easier to sell behind the goal? I’d argue it’s a worse view.

I’ve seen no evidence whatsoever that all this corporate seating will subsidise any cheap tickets. I’ve been hearing that for the last ten years haha (tunnel club, advertising boards)
On the basis that City charge more for (in old money) for South Stand l2, East Stand L1 and L2, and Colin Bell Level 2 - than level 3 tickets.

I’m not in favour of the extra hospitality. I just know City go for lower hanging fruit when it comes to hospitality sales.

Our Execs are a mixture of ruthless business people and careerists. They adopt a range of price tactics to maximise overall revenue. They don’t owe loyalty to City but are a lot more effective than Swales and co.

In db’s excellent illustration above, the combined total for corporate/hospitality/GA+ is closer to 1,200 seats so that’s a big wedge.

The extra flexi golds are likely to be affordable to most families who want to go on a regular basis. Obviously, the expensive tickets won’t be.

We don’t know the ticket prices but City Execs are aware of supply and demand and are unlikely to take the piss by risking a half empty expanded North Stand.

Do you work for the fucking tourist board? I mean literally?

What they should have done is offered an incentive for moving. I suppose this would work against them trying to sell the more expensive seats to incumbents but they could have offered free cup scheme tickets, or 6 free additional tickets, or something like that.
Free half-and-half scarves for a season?

No they are entitled to 3000 or 10% if the ground is smaller than 30000.
The increased capacity will theoretically increase the away allocation for cup ties. But I suspect City will attempt not to play ball with that citing the loophole of segregation issues - something that both the rags and Arsenal have managed to do for years now.

I sit in North level 0 row 19 right behind the goal, and only a couple of rows in front of the proposed GA+.
The view for the Aguero v qpr, komps v Leicester, and many of haalands goals was fantastic. The club are selling on that.
Tunnel club better than, 93.20, which is better than proposed North stand GA+ which are better than Colin Bell level 3.
The club are purely interested in eeking out every penny for any sort of "enhanced experience" they can, and unfortunately it's sod off to any existing fans

We were told that the fan money from the gate wasn't that important after the TV deals, some of the noise coming from the club is plain stupid and some of the alright Jacks are lapping it up.

Now let me start by stating clearly, with no shadow of doubt, that ADUG, and Sheikh Mansour, has been an unbelievable owner for us. He's enabled us to have memories that we daren't have ever dreamed of. Back in 2007, I'd have died a happy man if we could win one more FA Cup. However; coming up to the present day, I think It's all about revenue for our owner(s) now. Legacy fans are an irrelevance to them. Corporates and hospitality are the way to go, in their eyes. And I understand the concept of the club being self financing, which I believe we are now? I had a brief conversation on here with another poster who said that he'd like to see tickets for the Brentford CC game going on sale for a tenner for adults. It's a great idea, but I'll repeat what I said to him; namely, that I just can't see the club selling tickets for that price. And I dread to think what a room in the new hotel will cost on a match day.

They've said that they can have the choice of any available seat in the ground, at their current price for next two years. Obviously apart from the new seats, they won't know exactly what's available until after renewals for next season have closed.
If that’s the case I would suggest that those affected have a good look at the unaffected blocks either side of the ones that are affected.

I'm sorry for those affected but, it's progress and modernisation -the modern world - capitalism and the price of success. Thank fuck they didn't have to shut the North Stand while all this development has been going on. At least they're offered a price freeze for 2 years which I am sure the rest of us won't get. I don't think it's realistic to have expected anything more.

Only just seen this thread - which rows /seats/bocks are impacted? If your season tickets are being impacted have the club contacted those supporters impacted?

The affected fans get first choice I think before anyone else.

Looks like the middle 2 blocks of the bottom tier in the middle, so up to 350(?) seats but they won't all be STs anyway. The club update is below.

The hospitality prices must have rocketed this season to subsidise the match day ticket price reductions across the board this season after the fan protests at the end of last season. ;-)

As for you know who, Superbia, he’s a clock with no hands, where time stands still in his brain. If he has a brain? If he has a brain, it certainly isn’t Swiss mechanism.

Back to topic, which I haven’t commented on yet.
