ok sound, does it conflict with any other virus or malware programs or is it that you dont need programs such as malwarebytes or spybot

You would need an additional anti spyware program because in my opinion MSE doesnt combat spyware well. But MSE is distributed as an antivirus , antispyware and antimalware software. All i can say is that it plays the antivirus part very well.

So which anti spyware would you install with it

I personally recommend Spybot S&D

all you need is microsoft security essentials

bear in mind it will only install on legit windows installations unless your technically experienced. It will also auto update.

use ccleaner to clean all the crap its a free download.

then download malwarewbytes antimalware
update it
run scan.

do the last two once a week and you should be okay

Norton has been simple for me never had any problems McAfee runs yaour PC slow AVG I've never used but heard good things.

If you have a free year for Norton you might as well use it.

Just come on here looking for something to replace norton which is about to run out...been no problems with it at all..but looking for a freebie
might try the microsoft one
