Taking my Dad tomorrow he is 76 and first watched us age 5. Been to a game every single season since and missed only a handful of games in the 70s and 80s and he has been to over 2000 games in total following City. He is really starting to struggle and needs new knees, his eyes are failing and his heart is not amazing and his mind not what it was but he just said to me I can’t wait for tomorrow. Taking him for the full works - meal etc and will make it a special day for him. Can’t fucking wait!

I applaud and envy you. It reminds me of my dad who I lost last year at age 82. He was a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder but the dreaded dementia and Parkinson’s sadly took him. As another lifelong blue myself (ex Platt Lane and Kippax season ticket holder) I loved going to the games with him, and still greatly miss it since I moved to the States 30 years ago. Each time I would make it home, I would make every effort to spend as much time as possible with him, so can fully relate and really hope you have a great day and many more to come.
 
Weather report: Rain! Locally heavy from 1pm to 9pm. But who cares about Summer rain. Nice and refreshing and good for Raheem and Jesus. Suits small fast forwards with a low centre of mass.

Bring it on! Nothing will dampen the spirits today.
