We only have plan A the rags have a few more options than us with wingers on both sides teams have sused us out now !! Get in to our midfield and we can't play ??
Manchini doesn't like playing with wingers. When he does he likes playing them on their wrong side and cutting in. He doesn't like playing with width.

Why did he bring Maicon on today?
Maicon didn't really play on the wing

We are champions it was never going to be easier. However our transfer activity was poor to say the least in the summer. Some you win some you lose. Hopefully we have learned the lessons

Did we really need to spend all that money and buy those players to beat QPR and similar transfer window was not good agreed but that's not the reason we are where we are

Quite simply ferguson is the difference

He played as a wing back, on the wing, not the wrong wing, with width.

But that doesn't help us win games when everyone keeps us down the middle any centre half worth his salt will take down his throat all day long players in front of you . You can keep them in your vision when You get turned you don't have an eye on the players coming in if you have to defend balls coming in from all angels !! .

Fair point, don't believe this rag team under any other manager would be anywhere near their current position. Hopefully this may be his swansong, every cloud and all that.

Defenders playing at wing backs are not wingers. how many crosses did he get in. Sinclair gor more in in less than 5 minutes on Tuesday. Tmget width you need to play a winger, not a full back getting forward. To change games you have to be able to change from playing through the middle to getting crosses in from the wings. Then when you next go down the middle there is more space.

We have gone backwards from last season. Instead of improving and moving forward we have gone worse. Last season we could play with speed going forward as well as playing the patient build up. This season it is just a slow build up firing to go though the middle.

Is it time for a manger who can push us forward?
Sometimes things don't follow a perfect pattern. Sometimes you take a step back to take two forward.

It's not time to change the manager this year.

-- Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:51 pm --

3, and one was very VERY nearly a goal bear the end.

The basic truth is that it is damage limitation in terms of what happened (or did not happen) in last summers transfer window.

Both Bobby and us the fans have had to live with the fact that the squad was not improved upon and eventually left us more exposed in terms of the players that were brought in.
That being said the team at Bobby disposal is still capable of retaining our title this year.

It hurts though to look at the league table to see a team 9 points infront when all they actually did was purchase one player. Although RVP being a class striker, their defence and midfield have remained basically the same. And that is what is hard to swallow.

We have been average all season, performing somewhat near like last season on the few occassions.

I have come to look at this 2 ways - I still BELIEVE that we can overturn this deficit and finish above the rag scum. But if we don't I have the utmost faith that it will be rectified come the summer and we will assemble a squad that will not only win us the league title but elevate our club to another level.

Mancini seems very tactically limited in an attacking sense - one idea and if it doesn't work chuck the forwards on. He chooses not to play wingers when he's had a bottomless wallet that could have bought him cream of the crop wingers. Our attacking play is truly disappointing considering the players and resources we have. Mancini gets the very best out of defensive players (like Zaba) but can't seem to get the best out of our attacking players, I think it's tactical.
