Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

9 losses already in the PL, that's the same as Pep's first season if I'm not wrong. 23 points behind Liverpool as it stands. !
Liverpool are streets ahead of anybody.

Comparing us to them is like comparing waynetta slob and Katy Perry.

We're in the same situation as Peps first season where he needs to get rid of players and integrate new players.

Pretty simple really

It’s amazing how whenever any team decides to up their tempo by even a little bit, we struggle and gaps start opening up all over the place.
That goal today didn't even take much tempo, Piss poor pass from Kovacic to Marmoush was the start of it, We should have hit them on the counter from that passage of play, Instead one cross field pass done us.

In truth it's a shambolic goal to concede. Still going to back to taking off Gonzalez was criminal, As you've mentioned gaps opening up, It's a gap that wasn't there all game when we had a holding midfielder on the pitch.

We’ve got major problems & not sure pep’s got the solution? foden’s been shocking all season, Bernardo out wide?? NEVER worked but pep keeps doing it, we are weak beyond belief nobody puts a tackle in, & as for having the most lethal striker on the planet but don’t offer him any service, well the mind fuckin boggles, totally on you this shit show pep

I've said this before we have to be very careful where we go from here, it really could tip either way. There are similarities to the rag side at the end of Ferguson's reign. An ageing side which was allowed to go on too long. They then spunked shit loads of money on so called proved superstars like Pogba and Sanchez and it failed miserably.
said simlar a while back, we could end up in a situation where we are over stocked with good players but players who cant make that step up, this summers window we have to be carefull who we add to get the correct ballance

Agree with this post.

Hopefully Pep makes this rebuild look as simple this time around. Personally I think this will take a couple of seasons, Although I wouldn't put it past us going close next season due to other top teams being worse off than us.

This is criminal:

Marmoush clean through on goal and BSilva didn’t make the pass.

Same thing happened against Arsenal at 1-0.
Yep. It's bullshit.

There's numerous occasions of this from us in which we've a chance to play a player in behind, Yet the player on the ball takes the easy option.

De Bruyne is the only player we have that is willing to take a risk.

It is all down to indvidual mistakes not the overall set up. We were on course for that until the 83rd minute.
Or you could say that the ball should never have reached the point where Ederson even had the chance to be beaten at his near post?

There are so many arguments on here, game after game, about what's gone on inside our area, when half the time the ball should have been attacked long before, 20 yards or more up the field.

I don't routinely see opposition defenders simply ushering our guys into their area.

Not sure why it's regarded as blasphemy on here to criticise the coaching, but for Christ's sake, there's a limit - how can anybody moan at people having a go at us for doing the same thing and expecting different results?

When Baconface left United the club had underinvested for close to a decade in backroom staff, training facilities, coaching and recruitment, youth team development. They left a club leadership team that was the bloke who sorted the advertising deals and wanted to be friends with the players. And an ownership model that sucks money out of the club rather than medium term investing in it. They're still barely installing data teams that other top clubs have had for a decade. They haven't signed bad players, they've signed good players with no coherent plan or system in place.

We are having a poor season. Nothing more nothing less. We might never hit the heights of the last 8 years again, but no club has ever done it before so I think that's a high bar to set.

Needs a rest.
How about his natural position of centre back?

I know we'd lose out on his attacking threat at left back, Personally I'd love to see him at centre back alongside Khusanov.

Ruben Dias has been so far off his own standards for a long time now.

Having said that, Would goes left back if Josko is centre back :)
