Look this has to change … we can’t keep calling him a Nordic meat shield !

A shield is a defensive item. A dagger is an attacking item. He’s an attacker not a defender.

So surely(shirley) he should be referred to as the Nordic meat dagger ?

Or does that have a different connotation ?

Has to be said Forest looked a Championship outfit. They should have stuck with the lads who got them up and not those chancers who didn’t have a clue what they were doing.

Haaland was great but Alvarez was fucking everywhere! What a player.

How quiet is this thread?? Only 13 pages an hour after FT.
Great performance, not sure how we got Alvarez so cheaply, did no other big clubs look at him?

The signs are that we did a special deal with generous add ons for appearances and profit share if sold on. There were others sniffing but RP were very keen to sell to us.
Our press more or less ignored the transfer, thinking he was just a back up. Shows what they know.

I've been on the Alvarez hype train for a long time (I have an unexplained bias for South American footballers, Tevez signing for us was huge for me and I have 3 shirts that have Kun Aguero on them)

Really glad to see him play that well. Love that he can be so versatile up top. Genuinely think he will be the ace in the hole where teams try to play Haaland off only to have Alvarez wreck them.

As for Haaland specifically, I can't say anything nobody else has said. He will destroy this league.

Right about Alvarez. When teams are desperately trying to counter Haaland, Julian will nip in with a goal or even two.
