Our softness in the tackle has been there for all to see these past few weeks. Maybe it’s the worry of further injury or just the lack of confidence in the team. Either actually jumping out of the tackle or turning the back on a challenge, it needs to stop soon.

I wonder what Rodri, Fernandinho, De Jong or Zabba makes of it all?

Seeing Rico Lewis pulling out of that tackle early on in Sundays match really was unforgivable.

Christ, I suggested that idea of shoot on site, throw the ball in the box percentage football once, and was branded a heathen and philistine. Even though like you have suggested, it's so bloody obvious as the solution to breaking down low block defences. It creates chaos and makes them actually commit, panic and defend, rather than trotting side to side as we waste the vast majority of the game passing for the sake of it.

Whilst the number of actual injuries may be quite low, the amount of fully fit players isn’t. We’ve too many half fit players having to play and both our 6s are out.
