Nottingham Forest (N) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I said it before the game, score first and it's pretty much in the bag, they are not built to turn games around, bring on Palace.

Just found this from IFAB. The law has changed so much over the years its hard to keep up. But it seems currently, it shouldnt be a Penalty… Probably change again next week like…
Wherever that's from, it's not relevant to the incident.

It is an offence if a player:

  • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball
  • touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised

The flick of the hand looked deliberate.

And for "unnaturally bigger" there's nothing saying a player can get away with waving arms around behind his back.

Defo a pen - it was going in all day long
And whether it was going in is irrelevant (except for deciding if it prevented a goal)

City, tearing East Midlanders apart again?

Such a sweet victory! Listened to a couple of radio stations all this morning and early afternoon. Their pundits had really convinced themselves that Forest had the history, fanbase, Stuart Pearce and hoo do over us and the tactics and line up to win this game.

In addition all of them said as "Neutrals" they, and all other so called neutrals wanted a Forest v Palace final!

So, onto the final when we get more of the same! Great performance today but we should have had them buried by half time!

its from International Football Association Board (IFAB), who are the international self-regulatory body of association football that is known for determining the Laws of the Game

it wasnt deliberate handball (no idea how you think it was deliberate), the defender put his arms behind his back like most do now to do all they can to avoid their hands touching the ball. In this instance Kova scuffed his shot a bit and it hit the arm. He wasnt waving his arms about at all…

I remember after the Spuds game a few on here said we better not concede first on Sunday! Their game plan (although often successful) is all about scoring first and early then defending in the hope of nicking a second on the break. When we scored early they looked rattled and only really started playing in the second half.
