Gvardiol and O’Reilly had their worst game together in some time. Texted my brother about how soon it would be before their fucking about on the left side was going to cost us. Well, this time it didn’t, but it didn’t help and put us under needless pressure.

Gvardiol was at fault for the goal, too. Was slow to see the play develop and left himself in no man’s land, hanging O’Reilly out to dry with 2 at the back.

You could argue that Nunes was at fault for the goal, stood off the player which enabled him to get the ball into the middle.

You could psycho-analyse every movement that didn't go our way but the name of the game is to score more than them. We did, we're top, we have the best goal difference and we're on the right course, that's all that matters. Stop whinging and enjoy.

There was nothing wrong whatsoever today with Joe Harts comments. He aimed to be neutral and he was.

Loved his comeback to his co-commentator when it was suggested that a rare free kick given in our favour was a soft one: Jesus has been buying those all game. Never heard that said about one of our opponents however true it might be.

Christmas fixtures are always patchy and when you're away, it's more of a commitment to play and go the extra yard for the club and fans.

The 3 points are all that matter today. We can all pick out sloppy defending or bad passing, but we win or lose as a team and today was a team performance that dug in and thought for each other
