They could have disallowed our winning goal, but gibbs white did go down very easily. It's the kind of decision where refs nowadays wait and see. If Nico scores there it's likely knocked off but gibbs white has the chance to get back up and affect the play. He could have blocked it, luck of the draw. I'd say it's karma for the way they threw themselves all over the floor for free kicks throughout the game..

The referee wasn't great at all, despite that decision for us. He carded Nico and replays showed him being fouled and Nico not actually touching the other player. Of course, Forest wanted a penalty and I think he capitulated and gave the foul and yellow as a middle ground. But he didn't card that wet wipe for tackling Foden in the knee, despite a var check for a red card. Arguably that player should have seen three yellows in that match, one for diving, one for the Foden kick and one for asking for another player to be booked.

TNT spent a while praising their centre forwards plays too, despite the fact replays were repeatedly showing him going down before the ball arrived. In one play he does that, the ball is headed to Gibbs White who looks for the through ball, only his forward is busy scampering back up off the floor after yet another Tom Daly special.

Gibbs white does go down very easily . That's true .

Managers and players play the game in an appalling manner and with lack of integrity. Fans are far too overcritical towards refs. All the managers, players and fans are too abusive towards refs.

And it all makes being a referee a shit job that only wankers would want to do. Therefore the talent pool of refs is small and poor.

The players regularly cheat and try to con the referee. I Jesus was particularly guilty today with constantly falling over pretending to be fouled. Its difficult trying to decipher if physical contact is a foul. It's more difficult with the deceit involved.
 
I don't want to tempt fate but it really feels like we're on another title charge right now. Everyone seems focused and mentally strong and we're getting the right results without not always being at our brilliant best like previous teams we've had.
I'm not overly fussed with how we play this time of the season, just get the points and move onto the next game. Pep is a genius at getting the lads in the right mental condition for the run in. Just need to stay free of anymore major injuries and we'll be knocking at the door at the end of the season.

That was a difficult watch at times. Forest good on the counter and we struggled to create anything in the 1st half. 2nd half a bit more open and we done just enough to get the 3 points thanks to Cherki. On a winning run and hopefully team take confidence from that moving onwards that we can grind out wins when not playing at our best.

So had he allowed our winner if they had scored it you would have had no complaints?
Because if I could pick one time for him not to be bias that would have been it.
 
That really is a brilliant 3 points and could be huge come the end of the season.

Ref allowed Forest to somehow foul City defenders the whole match and miraculously get awarded a free kick themselves every time for it.

Thought we dug in and fought well and as the game went longer we looked better. Cherki is signing of the season and an absolute star.
