Nottm Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Forest desperate to keep their beat City at home trophy but were always going to run out of legs at 70minutes. The referee was giving them everything until Dias had a strong word which although it got him booked, must have registered. He was far more balanced after that. As for Dyche he has nothing to moan about given how they jostled at the corners which Hutchinson fucked up with absolute dire delivery
Deserved win no debates

Always a great day out, even this was a early start after Xmas. We had a car full and got there just after 11. A quick one in The Nest and then into the ground. Tough game but we ground it out. All the team played well but Ryan and Josko were the best on the day.

I thought he was booked for the 'foul' - was it dissent?

Very good result against a Nottingham team that are much better than their league position would suggest.

We weren't great but had some energy about us that we didn't have last season and I think we'd have lost this game last season.

Foden, Reijnders and Bernardo really need to start supporting Gonzalez with some physicality in these types of games. I don't include Cherki in that because he is our difference maker in the final third.

O'Reilly and Dias had games to forget, I thought Gvardiol was the pick of the defenders, good to see him finding form.

Onwards and upwards city
Bit unfair on Bernie 9 times out of 10 he was the only bugger helping out Nico G. Puts out a lot of fires does the little guy :-)

Plenty of effort and spirit as we scrapped to get the win.
The winning goal was not spectacular but Cherki showed a high level of skill: he kept the ball down and threaded it expertly inside the post.
Well done boys.
