Nottm Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Maybe the 4th official had told the ref Igor was being a **** and Dias shouldn’t have been booked for complaining for one of several free kicks given against him…pretty sure they chat about incidents at half time amongst themselves.
Absolutely they do
Something I dont like is players chatting to the officials as they come out for the second half. imho they should come out once both teams are ready on the pitch, there should be no contact outside of the actual 90+ minutes
Maybe they could have their own entry music?

Shouldn't all VAR audio be publicly released to resolve this media palaver? It'd certainly add a layer of transparency and clear up speculation. It may also improve the standards of officiating by keeping the mystery men outside the grounds on their toes.

Never understood why a VAR decision can't be reviewed in a Premier League ground Broom cupboard.

Dyche comes out with this nonsense every time we play his teams, the guy’s a football dinosaur. Just a quick look at his comments on the MGW incident should tell you there’s very little benefit in taking any notice of him. Hope they go down
When he openly admitted to the press that he pushes his 4 year old kid over, you get an idea of what kind of bloke he is.
Like the teams he coaches, they can dish it out but they can’t take it

I am all for having a go at officialdom but how can Forest and their manager demand an enquiry into the second City goal when replays of the incident show that it was the cheating bastard who got Rodri sent off, who was responsible for the foul and not Nico.

Dias may have been lucky not to get a second yellow but he was fucking unlucky to get the first!
He clearly didn’t lay a glove on Igor who went down as if he’d been shot having first backed into Dias. Little wonder Ruben objected to the foul been given and unfortunately got booked.
Maybe the ref realised the error he’d made in booking Dias at the half time interval (do they review incidents at half time?) and therefore cut Ruben a little slack for the second offence. Just maybe .
I think what angered Ruben was that the Forest lad had led with his elbow as they’d gone up for the ball and Igor had then backed into him.

I've watched the Dias/Jesus incident back a few times now, it seems to me that Dias loses sight of where the ball is, moves to his right slightly and just catches Jesus's trailing leg, enough to bring Dias down, but Jesus then does a rather theatrical swan dive, I'm pretty sure he could have stayed on his feet if he'd wanted to. I don't know why the Ref didn't give a yellow to either player, I think he could have given them both one (Dias for the challenge, Jesus for the theatrics alone never mind waving), but it was 20 seconds into the second half, it would have meant a red for Dias who was already on a yellow (and a soft one at that), it wasn't close to goal, and there were other defenders, Referees just don't like sending players off in those circumstances, I think the earlier booking was probably the deciding factor, but I think the Referee got that incident about right.

Wayne Rooney stuck up for City on match of the day saying he thought it was a foul on Nico O'Reilly instead of the other way around. He wraps his leg around Nico then tries to pull him to the floor. Maybe it was justice Cherki nut-megged him for the winning goal a few seconds later.

Think we've all been to a game then when you watch the match highlight it's completely different to how you remember. Selective editing was simply to try and show 90 mins of action in about 7, these days it's edited to shape a narrative.

Right now that's all about state owned citeh buying / receiving favourable decisions. I haven't been able to stream games for at least a season or two so tend to follow on the City app. The number of times Ali Mann says that should have been a booking a free kick to us, only for it to go the other way. Others on here literally talk about the first booking being one of ours, every time!!!!

Are our players the living embodiment of Danny Tiatto, Ben Thatcher and the entire dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty leeds teams of the early 70s??????? Even our most combative mids, Dinho and Rodri didn't set out to break others legs, it was breaking up play and threading passes to the attackers.

Possession was 65-70% for us all game, most shots on/ off target were heavily in our favour. And yet we were penalized 5/6 times more than a very physical Forest team!!!!

The good thing is that at least Rooney has called out gibbs white's blatant cheating and other teams/ refs will be alive to it, thank you shaun dickhead.

The way the highlights were tailored, did they show the foul in the box por the knee cruncher on Foden? If not, why not?

I would hope professional footballers would never go out trying to intentionally injure the opposition, but we know this isn't the case from dog wanker keane.

Wasn't it Yates that went down when Rodri blew on him ?

The incidents Dyche ranted about in his post match comments have since been proven false. So Forest should be apologizing for bringing the game into disrepute. Instead they make an official complaint. I reckon the FA should punish them anyway for bringing the game into disrepute.
Absolutely this. Fairly hefty accusations or at least implied accusations from the ginger electrolarynx ****.

Could see this complaint coming from the minute Dyche showed a slapped arse face at the final whistle and gave Pep the most grudging of grudging handshakes.
