If you were playing Newcastle in the final.
a) would there be trouble.
b) would you take your kids.
Just wondering.
Yes, there would definately be trouble. Our season cards are in the South West Corner and before they moved the away fans at the SoL they were sitting just a few yards from us. At one match they tore out the seats and threw them into our fans, the boys (who must have been 6 and 10 at the time) were pulled from their seats and lifted over the wall by the stewards and rushed into the access tunnel to get them out of the way. We were very lucky not to be injured, although I know people who were. Last time we played them at the SoL they tore out the seats again and threw them over the upper tier into the fans below, along with various coins and bottles etc. They've also been known to jump off the metro en route to the SoL and deliver a few well placed punches to Sunderland fans waiting on the platform, jumping back on board before the metro leaves. Never to young lads who would more than likely retaliate... it was always kids or older men.
I would be very cautious about taking the boys to Wembley if we were playing the mags.

isn't it a shame about things like this. its football ffs people should be able to just enjoy the day, and safely.
some sad needy fuckers about.
We were novices with regards to how it works at Wembley the first time we played the rags in the semi final. A lot of Blues found themselves in bad situations but we know our way round now. I took my kids both times we played them at Wembley and it never occurred to me not to even after the semi where we witnessed a lot of aggro on the car park behind their end of the ground.Tbilisi said:Gingers Dad said:Don't understand why people wouldn't have taken their kids if we'd have played the rags. It's a cup final, I would never let my lads miss it because of them.
I went round to Mc Donalds with my kids after the game and didnt realise it was United side...was fronted up by about 5 of them.
I think the fact I am 6ft 2 and over 16st meant they thought twice about attacking us ...one even said its open season.
I told mine that we would go into Wembley Central if it was them as Wembley Park was their station and thats where most Blues got picked off.
They are cowards most of them and tried it on again at the Charity Shield but this time I saw loads getting a good kicking as no kids mainly blokes.Have to say I didnt mind it after my experience at the Semi.
Sunderland hard as nails but real men so will be a great day regardless of the score.

Just a quick question, would a lot of your fans not have taken their families to the game if you's were playing United? I know they have some horrible fans but I don't think I couldn't not take my lad to Wembley no matter who we were playing. What was it United fans have done in other occasions at Wembley? All the best for what should be a great weekend (apart from the result for you lads!)
Got in there early for the Wigan game and enjoyed it until the rain arrived and i could drink no more. Wandered into a greasy spoon cafe and had egg and chips. Then moved onto a bus stop where me and a mate sat down too a few Stellas. Spotted the lesser spotted Ric (always in a hurry that lad) before clambering over the building site that looked nothing like the Wembley Way in the brochure.Millwallawayveteran1988 said:Didsbury Dave said:Didn't think much of the green man when I went, although it seems to get well hyped up on here. Much prefer the pubs on wembley high road, especially after the game. Been in some legendary celebrations in JJ Moons.
You are not the only one. We went against Chelsea to see what the fuss was about. Lasted an hour then fucked it off for cans outside the Greyhound
