It certainly makes sense but I do not think that is the case. To tell an agent to stop using our name is closer to "We are not interested in the player, do not use our name to raise the price." At least in my opinion

But more likely City do not want to get accused of tapping him up??

Seems pretty certain he was just on a list of players we ask for reports on and somebody in Portugal got carried away.

Yep not really bothered either way. I don't hate the player howwever there are question marks over his consistency. If he sticks around I will back him.
