It's a shit night isn't it?! I'm just wondering, if I went to the furthest part of the timeline, (Christmas Islands?) and landed there at around midday on 31st, then onto California at 1pm where when I landed it will still be the 30th, I could then wait there for a day, fly back to Australia where NY day will already be there, bypassing NY eve altogether, then wait until its the 1st in Manchester and get a flight back? I could theoretically miss the 31st turning into the 1st altogether. The problem with going to bed before midnight is the modern day fashion for setting off fireworks at 12
