Well after being ill for weeks and not seeing anyone or doing anything at all over Xmas, I have agreed to go to a Garage night at the Albert Hall.
Said that I would never step foot in a nightclub ever again as I am far too old for it, yet here I am, dancing shoes at the ready.
Fair to say that I spent most of Xmas on my own due to being ill. Will be nice to spend the night with my mates, even if I spend most of the night in the loo.

Being dragged to friends house where everyone will drink to oblivion except for me and the usual fireworks etc etc.

Genuinely couldn't.give a fuck about NYE and would sooner be in bed like any other night.

Sounds exactly what I’ve got coming my way, and mirrors my attitude exactly!

Hope I manage to get enough kip for the Park Run in the morning, then I certainly will have a beer or two around the City match at teatime tomorrow.

Years back I hated the pressure to have a good time when out & about, the queues, the prices, the impossible costs of getting home etc.

Staying in as usual on NYE, reflecting on what has been for me, by any measure, a mental decade, and one that ended far, far better than it started.
