Oasis reunion

Recently I've been prefering Liam's solo songs over the oasis songs.

Anyone feel the same?
Not me mate , have always preferred listening to there b sides after the first two albums . Prefer the old charlatans albums to both though and think they have stood the test of time better . Go through different spells of what I like

I find his song writing to be a bit juvenile on his solo stuff. Sometimes the words to his songs make me think a teenager wrote them.

I do give these a listen though and felt they were good enough to make my Oasis playlist:

Best thing he’s ever done without Noel is that final track from the final Oasis album, ‘Soldier On’:

Story goes: The Coral found some Oasis recording sessions tapes when they were in the studio Oasis had been in when playing with some stuff before Dig Out Your Soul was recorded. They gave them a sneaky listen and heard this track. James Skelly saw Noel and said, ‘eh dat “Soldier On” tune, dats boss dat!’. But Noel didn’t have a clue what he was on about. He delved into it, asked Gem, Gem didn’t know what song Noel meant; asked Liam, Liam didn’t recall the name; asked Andy and Andy said, ‘ah yeah that “Soldier On” is a great track, me, Gem and Liam went to the pub and came back to the studio and recorded it’… Noel had a listen (I think he added himself on the drums to the version that made the album) and stuck it on the Dig Out Your Soul album.

It’s in my Top Ten Oasis songs, I think it’s proper class. Good words, sounds like a slowed down Army march drum sound, great psychedelic outro.

He wrote Nothing Nowhere two years ago during lockdown he put half on Twitter and still didn’t put it on an album:) there’s a few songs on each solo album that I rate as much as anything that Noel wrote.
I don’t think Liam likes his own stuff and rather sing Oasis songs

Misunderstood is another favourite Liam song

I'm guessing that, after last night's "performance", the Ticketmaster refund hotline could be busy tomorrow morning!
It was bizarre because he’s worked hard on his voice during his solo years. So I don’t understand last Saturday’s dreadful performance.

For someone in his late 40s, they’re great performances and better than anything live post-1995 Oasis (even half of Knebworth in 96 was awful from Liam, listen to ‘Live Forever’ from that gig on the Knebworth docu.).
