Are they the best Mancunian or Uk band ever?

Maybe, I think they are just as good as the Beatles. Not that Im that old to experience their music, What do you think?

Hmm, tough one to call. Obviously in this generation, yes. I would say there the best band in the world since they formed. Nobody has came close to them. The amount of bands they have influenced is amazing. But without The Beatles, you wouldn't have Oasis.

Fookin' nailed it! The Smiths... Best Manchester band ever. Even Noel has aknowledged it in more recent (And probably more humble) years.
Oasis are more legendary for their comments and behaviour outside of music, IMO.

... But yeah, The Smiths all the way. Never made a shite album.
