piss poor 2nd half ,play like this on thursday and were fooked
Hamburg arent better than Arsenal......

i know that but its not been great has it ? never mind who were playing you have to look at our desire

Maybe we are waiting for the Hamburg game. League position is out of the window and the only thing we have left to play for is the UEFA cup. So maybe that is where all our priorities lie ?????

We all knew what was coming. No surprise really.

Might as well forget about finishing 7th now and focus on the UEFA Cup. I hope the injuries aren't too bad.

I hope they are worse.

Honestly they may be worse but probably not a whole lot. Among the favorites to win both the UEFA cup and the league. Nervous as fuck but it's gonna be exciting. Think our home form might just save us though.

Disappointing second half, but didn't expect anything out of the match.

Slightly worried about Thursday, particuarly if Kompany doesn't make it.

yes i agree with all that moomba, sadly Arsenal are very different to the team we played at home, they are now bang in form and were always going to be a difficult proposition at their home ground. Having said that i did think we held our own first half. 2nd half we faded quite badly. As usual some decent passing and good counter attacks but we lack something up front still.

Roll on Thursday!!

terrible start by several individuals. couldnt pass or control the ball. bridge, kompany clearly not fit to play. individual mistake meant adebayor couldnt miss. conceding early against arsenal is usually fatal, but the first substitution clearly helped us. zab was excellent at lb, the team found some confidence. for the last twenty-five minutes of the fist half. we looked classy and dangerous on the break. sadly the second goal killed the game. narrowly offside, should not have stood. looked like some players didnt fancy running themselves into the ground with Hamburg coming up, collectively the team eased off. very low key in the end, but not a bad performance, despite some moments where we looked almost totally incompetent.

rob did work hard, zab, ned, de jong and dunne had good enough games. shaun was very good for a short while. bellamy made lots of runs but was never picked out with a good enough pass. gelson was not any sort of disaster. elano was his usual self, selfish and easy to knock off the ball, whilst being classy and doing a good enough job of keeping possesion. micah was agressive but at fault for the first goal. shay was probably the best performer on the day.

bottom line is that you cannot concede an early goal against arsenal. and if you concede another at the start of the second half, having worked hard to get any foothold in the game, you are going to lose.

Felt sorry for Bellers today he was feeding off scraps and some poor poor passing. None of the through balls made it past the arsenal defence so you can't blame Bellers. For me he's always got a goal in his locker whwn he's given a chance. Haven't felt like this about a forward since Anelka left.
