Breathed a major sigh of relief when I saw that vassell wasn't on the bench, fingers crossed Hughes is beginning to see how our team should be playing. If vass was in the team it would have been like going back to square one. Elano is in as well? That's a surprise being away to blackburn but fingers crossed he works as hard as he did on Friday and has a good game.

Exactly right. Hughes has picked the right team here (except the LB position) and there is no excuse. The players have to perform.

Here's hoping the looming transfer window has wedged a rocket firmly up them for this one.

It comes on TV at 4 so it's an easy mistake to make LOL.

I think Vassell being in the side might have been good overall, showing Elano that he was not an automatic starter, and that he had to book his ideas up if he didn't want to be replaced permanently in Jan. Elano seems to have responded and now looks to be getting back to his best.

It might have cost us a few points, but if Elano carries on playing as good as he did against Hull, it will gain us a whole lot more.
