Its a pity about the soft goal we let in, though I'm not sure it was a foul that led to the free kick. Anelka went down awfully easily imo. We are getting overwhelmed, but it was hardly unexpected with us missing De Jong and Kompany and I actually think we have done ok overall. If we would stop trying the hopeful long ball (I'm looking at you Elano!) and keep the ball on the ground and play some football when we actually get some possession, we have a bit of a hope.
We have looked quite decent the few times we have done this so far. We will have to keep riding our luck and hope Chelsea waste their chances, but I feel we are going to create at least 1 or 2 genuine chances and we have to take them. It could be far worse- a ruthless team could have it at 3 or 4 nil already.
