Official: City sign Enes Ünal

Man. Once Lamarcus left Portland's whole future dependent on Monroe coming to PDX. And even that fell through. Free agents would rather go to Cleveland than play for the Blazers. In three years we will lose Damon
Lillard for the same reasons we lost LA. Being a Trailblazer fan now must be like when City went down to the third division.

Oh yeah, you guys have it rough. Batum too. It's a shame, that was a great team. Awfully close to doing something without actually doing a damn thing.

Well. I think we have maybe three players from last year's roster. So that's a start. Signed a player with community college experience. The Blazers are going places!

Must be frustrating for him, having seen all the facilities and trained with some great players to now having 2 years away with a good chance that he will never have a career here anyway.

He's 18, it's a bit early to write him off for us yet don't you think?
Who's writing him off? Simply stating facts.

Surely even the happiest of clappers will acknowledge that over the next 2 years there is more chance of us signing new strikers at both first team and EDS level, and the forwards currently at the club forcing their way into the first team, than him cementing a place in the first team through his exploits in a much inferior league.

I remember being criticised a few years back when I stated that Mohammed Abu (who?) would never play for the first team when he went on one of his loans.

You're stating an opinion, not facts.

We have no idea of the details of the loan. He could do brilliantly there and get moved to a better league/club, he could amass International caps that would help with a work permit (I have no idea what the current requirements are but they could change too). Turkey could become a full member state (the least likely I know). And yes. you are writing him off.

Nice work with the 'happy clapper' remark, bit sad TBH.

It's the response you get when actually saying something positive about the club, the players, the management or the fans
God knows what sad pathetic lives some of these miserable cunts actually live?

A 2 year loan for a youngster is suspicious. I've always said if a player doesn't make the first team by 21 then their future is pretty bleak, by the time Unal gets back he'll be 20 which gives him 1 year to cement a place in the team, that's if (like you said) we haven't made a numerous amount of additions to our strike force by then.

Reckon this lad was probably just bought in to make a healthy profit out of in the future.
