OFFICIAL: City v Blackburn Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: Robinho today

Thought he had his moments, looks like he's still getting comfortable with the new folks. Don't know if the heavy rain started messing with him in the second half though.

Worked his bollocks off for the cause. Those idiots on here who keep referring to him as Bellend should be ashamed of themselves.

How did Robinho play today?
he had some good curling shots but was for the most part invisible... Adebayor and bellamy was better...

Re: OFFCIAL: City v Blackburn Post Match Thread

Excellent team performance. Thought Toure was absolutely immense and easily MOM. Barry showed what a great signing he will be, so calm on the ball. SWP has taken a bit of stick but set up both goals so hope to see more of the same from him.

Just a note on Blackburn, why anyone would pay to watch them is beyond me! I am all for a team playing to their strengths but you could write down their tactics in 1 simple sentence......Kick anything that moves and if we have the ball give it to Robinson who will launch the ball as far as he can. Absolute garbage team!

Great performance from the boys, especially the defence.

Robinho quiet really but still nearly scored.

I have to add though, if i was a Blackburn fan i would have to give it up, how fecking shit is Hoof ball!

Re: OFFCIAL: City v Blackburn Post Match Thread

the fact that Irelands picked up where he left off is fantastic.

I also love the fact that we don't have the fear of a bigger club coing in and taking him off us before the window closes!

Re: OFFCIAL: City v Blackburn Post Match Thread

Not perfect, but very promising. If the first half was worryingly chaotic, the improvement we showed in the second half was very reassuring. The midfielders and forwards regrouped, re-organised, and transformed the game. Blackburn didn't get close in the second half, and we had several chances to counter attack. I think it speaks volumes about the character of the new players. We now have a very experienced and determined spine in the team. Toure, Barry, Adebayor. Well done lads.
