OFFICIAL: City v Blackburn Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: Let's savour this moment

Blackburn are a poor side, especially with Roque gone everyone seems to be excited despite how shakey the defence looked. Don't hold high expectations until they're justified or you might just come crashing back down to earth.

Chuffed to bits.
Make no mistake this was a difficult fixture for us. Pundits and journos also waiting for us to take a fall - pissed on their chips didn't we.
It was important that we start well and we have done just that.
Well done lads.

Rag;)

Blackburn were so much like Bolton of a few years ago. Alot of really good teams will go there and draw or loose (especially Arsenal - they were always messed up by Bolton). I was really impressed by how the team settled in the second half. Overall I am a very happy fan, an away win, great performances from some players and improved performances by others. I think we will see a big improvement from Bridge this year as he actually gets used to playing some games. Richards is also starting to get back to his old self, I even saw him running back today and willing to defend.

Could not have asked for a better start to the season. Now for next saturday, first home game!

edit: Oh and a clean sheet, I forgot you could get those away from home!
