Official City v Copenhagen Thread.

Zabba had a great game as well, you can see how hard he is trying to get his next goal, true work horse ..

Glad someone mentioned Zabba, for me he was man of the match, unglamorous maybe but the grass he covers is astonishing and his work ethic allows bells/robbie etc to do their stuff, Hughes' most astute signing....
Last night impressed me as we didn't run out of ideas as the game stayed 0-0, in Europe weve all seen the rags/liverpool play a patient game and score late on, and these players are learning all the time.....2 months ago we would have lost that game and run out of steam.....Hughes' ideas are begining to take hold.....things are finally looking better..............................

City's new midfield of Kompany/Zabeleta gives us a lot more solidity, at a slight cost of chances created.

FC Copenhagen were poor if hard working - but it was good to see City keep their cool, and out-class the opposition rather than sink down to their level.

Great support from the Danes.

read through the match-thread and a bit surprised at the posts questioning Bridge. i thought he was very good today, and provided some great over-lapping runs for Robinho which took away markers from him. he runs the entire flank, and provides quality at both ends. The best crosser in our team - a piy there's no target man to hit

Bellamy MOM, but lots of good performers out there - particularly Robinho, Kompany and Zabeleta

Spot on good post

Zabaleta MOM for me, he was the destroyer in the midfield last night! He was really impressive...Robinho was excellent last night, could have had himself a hattrick last night. The header was unlucky, where he turned two defenders inside out...twice was world class, the collective 'AWH!' in unison (twice) was a testament to how fucking good that skill was - needed a superb save also.

Bellamy was quality aswell, he's exactly what City have needed for years...a goalscorer. Him, Zab & Robbie was superb last night.

Overall a very good team performance. I can't say anyone played badly really.
Robinho and Bellamy were the 2 outstanding performers, just a shame for Robbie he couldn't get a goal for himself. Interesting comments about Bridge though because I thought he had a very good game, solid at the back and made some promising runs on the over lap.

I am struggling to subscribe to the good perfomance theory. I know it is europe and result is all that matters but in the first 30 minutes we were poor . A decent team would have scored against us earlier. we need to up the game to go further.
